Glen Nevis Footbridge Installed
An AJE Engineering fabricated footbridge was craned into place over the River Nevis Fort William on Thursday February 16th. Located beside the Ben Nevis Visitor centre our client was FION Construction who had been engaged by the Highland Council to replace the current footbridge. AJE Project Manager Gary Moir was delighted that the actual final lift to position the new bridge went so smoothly, he said “its always a nervous time when after several weeks of fabrication all the hard work of the AJE team ably assisted by staff from our sister company Fort William based NEWCo, comes to fruition on the day”. Prior to the positioning AJE had carried out a successful trial build at the Forres Yard, before final painting and delivery to the site.
