Forsinard Flows “Lookout Tower” in line for prestigious Architects Award

AJE would like to congratulate Icosis Architects on their success in getting into the final two shortlisted contenders for the prestigious Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) 2016 award. Some 23 entries were submitted covering some of the very best that is being built in Scotland. The lookout tower in Sutherland provides a location under the management of the RSPB for bird watchers to view in comfort the significant amount of migrating birds that transit across the Forsinard Flows. AJ Engineering were contracted to fabricate and then erect the compound curved steel framed structure and internal stairs in this very challenging remote location.

The event also incorporates the Royal Institute of British Architects Awards for Scotland (RIBA). Those on the shortlist could win, RIAS Awards, RIAS Category Awards, RIBA Awards for Scotland and RIBA Special Awards at the June 15th event. AJ Engineering wish Icosis Architects all the very best of luck in June.
