Forres Mechanics Texas Scramble
AJ Engineering was delighted as the new ‘Main Sponsors’ for Forres Mechanics Football Club, to enter two teams in the Can Can’s annual Texas Scramble Golf Competition.
The event was held a Forres Golf Club and provided a great day out with the weather being superb and the course looking and playing lovely.
Allan Martin who was in team A with Andrew Fyvie, Wilson Burnett and Jim Thomson said: “Despite the favourable conditions, the two AJ teams finished about mid table, who knew the pond at the 16th hole had some sharks. Great scores in the mid-fifties took the spoils. Our team was pipped by one shot from Team 2 made up of, Stuart Munro, Craig Johnstone, Kevin Smith and Jamie Lawrence.
“The event was great for Forres Mechanics Football club with a great turn out and we were all proud to take part and support our local team. We look forward to next year, we have 12 months to practice!”
