AJE which as you know, specialises in steel cladding is working to help another company who work in timber!
Russwood based at Newtonmore who are a leading supplier of timber cladding, decking, flooring and interior cladding, are working with AJE to help build its new process hall.
The building will be tied into an existing building within their site which incorporates office premises, a sawmill, planing mill, and in-house factory coating facility, as well as a flooring showroom and architect-designed cladding and decking display areas.
Allan Martin, project manager said: “This is a really interesting project due to the nature of them being timber specialists and us being experts in steel. They are very conscious about what is created being sympathetic and aesthetically pleasing to what is already in place at their site and we have worked with them to ensure that the end product is going to look fantastic.”
Allan added: “It’s going to be a hybrid building which will be utilising glulam timber columns and beams, with steel rafter trusses and bracing.”
“The building will be clad by us, with the two types of material really complimenting each other.”
