AJ Engineering backs local football with sponsorship of FNWFA Cup trophy
AJ Engineering has come on board to sponsor one of the trophies for this year’s Forres and Nairn Welfare Football Association Cup and the Forres and Nairn Welfare Football Association has said it is delighted with the support.
The competition gets underway on August 28 with the final taking place on September 11. It will bring together 10 teams from Forres, Elgin, Nairn and Lossiemouth in one of the standout competitions in the local welfare football calendar.
AJE’s support has come at a very important time for the Association, with pitch hire costs higher than they have ever been. Like many grassroots organisations, the rising cost of running local football means support from local businesses is more valuable than ever.
Football continues to play a huge role across Forres, Nairn, Elgin and Lossiemouth. It gives players the chance to represent their towns, brings communities together, and creates a sense of pride that runs far beyond the pitch. From players and coaches to volunteers, families and supporters, the game remains a big part of summer in the area, and competitions like this help keep that spirit alive.
